A PRAYER FOR THE WORLD

Lord, help the world protect itself.
Lord the world you created
Is daily being destroyed by our actions.
We do not know how to stop it.
Our leaders have failed us
And day by day we see it die.
We pray to you to help the world
And to guide us in such a way
That whatever is left may be saved.

Lord, we ask for your help
In the name of the world,
In the name of the natural world
That is dying before our eyes.

Lord, help the world protect itself.
For men have become its tormentors
And the world is dying slowly
And we individuals
Do not know how to protect it
From the miners and developers
And those we have elected leaders.
That is why Lord we pray to you
On behalf of the world,
Lord, help the world protect itself.
